Internet Technology has turned the World into Global Village . Technology is not only improving the knowledge and awareness regarding various activities among the people but also making people to talk and make their views public, for which social networking sites is one such platform for raising their voice against wrong happening in and around us and also working as a helping hands in various social aspects which is a positive vibe , where one can reach many with one single click .
Today i want to share inspiring story about two individuals who started an online coaching portal “unacademy” (upsc.unacademy.in) for civil aspirants who cannot afford lakhs of rupees on their coaching but a dream to many:
First i would like to start with Mr.Roman Saini who can be called as Back bone of this portal and few things about him:
- He is an IAS officer and he himself prepares most of the videos about various concepts that helps civil aspirants in there preparation for the exam
- Before becoming an IAS officer, he has passed the MBBS entrance examination at the age of 16 and after completion of his medicine he prepared for civils , at the age of 23 he become an IAS officer
- Though being an IAS officer he takes time to help the students in making videos and answering their doubts which is truly inspiring .
Second comes Gaurav Munjal who is childhood friend of Roman Saini who worked as CEO of one prominent company and also has been expertise in making various websites.
These two individuals who are busy in their life’s has thought of starting one platform after seeing many of the students though having talent cannot afford for the coaching in premiere institutes in India and so they decided to start this “UnAcademy” online portal so that many of them can watch from any part of the World , This portal does not charge a single rupee from the students and can download the videos. Many students find it useful to clear their prelims of Civil examinations after watching their videos. Soon they are going to start an free online platform for helping students to prepare for medical entrance exams.
Last but not least, i truly got inspired from Ms.Ira Singhal who is the first physically challenged woman who become the topper of Civil service examination for the year 2014 under General Category, i was taken aback when i read her interview and her struggle to become an IAS officer which brings positive vibes to many after going through her story of becoming an IAS officer and she always says to Girl’s parents that:
“I want to say to everyone, let your daughters study and work. Let them go out in the world and make something of their lives” Says Singhal.
